FAQ

Questions buyers ask

Is paper cutlery really biodegradable?

Yes. Forko Green paper cutlery decomposes naturally in roughly 2 to 6 weeks, against 3 months to 3 years for wooden cutlery and centuries for plastic. It is moulded from food-grade FSC-certified paper, food-safe glue and a food-safe acrylic coating, with no plastic lamination.

Does paper cutlery hold up in hot soups and curries?

It does. The cutlery is moulded from compressed food-grade paper that holds its shape through hot soups, curries, gravies and desserts for the full duration of a meal, without softening at the edges.

Can we print our restaurant logo on the cutlery?

Yes — on the handle of every piece and across the full surface of the cutlery kit pouch. It is the clearest advantage paper holds over other disposables, which offer very limited branding.

What are the minimum order quantities?

Standard cutlery ships 100 pieces to a pack and 2,000 to a carton; ice cream spoons at 3,000 per carton and cutlery kit pouches at 1,000 per carton. Custom-printed runs carry their own minimum, confirmed against your artwork and volume.

Do you supply outside India?

Yes. We export to importers and wholesale distributors worldwide, with full export documentation, private-label packaging and FOB or CIF terms from Indian ports.

How is paper cutlery different from cornstarch (CPLA)?

Cornstarch-based cutlery typically needs industrial composting to break down and can deform in hot food. Paper cutlery composts in ordinary conditions within weeks and carries no plastic-feel finish, which is why premium venues prefer it.

Can we order a sample before committing?

Yes. We courier physical samples to qualified B2B buyers in India and internationally, so your team can test the product against whatever you currently use.

What is Forko Green paper cutlery made of?

Three things and nothing else: food-grade FSC-certified paper, food-safe glue and a food-safe acrylic coating. There is no plastic lamination and no plastic feel.

What goes inside a cutlery kit pouch?

Any combination you specify — 2-in-1, 3-in-1 or 4-in-1 — drawn from the spoon, fork, knife and ice cream spoon, always sealed with a tissue.
